Jewelry suitable for ultrasonic cleaning

Reason: Stable structure, water and vibration resistant, no risk of cracking.
b. Hard Gemstones: Natural diamonds (Mohs hardness 10), rubies, sapphires (Mohs hardness 9), citrines, garnets
Reason: High hardness and dense structure, capable of withstanding ultrasonic vibrations.

Reason: Corrosion-resistant and not easily deformed.

Ultrasonic cleaning principle & risk analysis
a. Working Principle
Using high-frequency sound waves (typically 20-80kHz) to generate “cavitation effect” in the cleaning solution—countless micro-bubbles form and collapse instantly, producing impact force to remove dirt.
b. Risk Mechanisms
1. Mechanical Damage: High-frequency vibrations may crack fragile structures (e.g., pearl layers, porous materials).
2. Thermal Effect: Localized high temperatures during cleaning may damage heat-sensitive gemstones.
3. Chemical Reaction: Cleaning solutions may react adversely with certain materials, especially porous or treated gemstones.
